I am trying to get a job. I was made redundant from the retail trade just when I took on a mortgage. Given the credit crunch and poor high street retail conditions its not easy getting a job. I have so, in 4 days, applied for over 32 jobs!!!

Its funny how everyone helped and thought Karen Bosnak's story was fantastic, yet now you all make fun of someone else trying the same thing

maybe you should try and tout your idea in a forum board full of rich people rather than people in debt or trying to make the most of their money.

    ahem!

See - now that's a much more worthwhile effort that going around asking other people to pay off your debts instead of their own.

Now if you get a list of your incomings and outgoings together and post them up in a *new* thread we'll take a look at them and suggest savings.

Did you take out any payment insurance?

I've never heard of Karen Wosshername.

Apparently not, thank god. Apparently we have a bit of leeway now... she didn't say how much, just that we'd not gone over it and so hadn't been charged. But if we did get charged at any point to go in and they'd sort it.

I still don't get why the cash machine just wouldn't let him take the money when there wasn't enough in there!

Because if it was that simple, the banks wouldn't be charging for unauthorised overdrafts, dafty!

Glad it worked out ok I-A.
