I read somewhere that it is not possible to contribute to 2 cash ISAs in the same tax year but can I transfer my NS&I Direct ISA to Nationwide and then open a new ISA with A&L @ 10% or would I not be able to do this even though I'm not contributing to the Nationwide one, just transferring in?0

You can only contribute to one cash ISA in any financial year.
A transfer does not count as a contribution to an ISA, as you are not investing any of your allowance for that financial year.
Providing you have not used your cash allowance for 2008/2009, you can contribute up to £3600 with a new A & L ISA and move your existing NS&I ISA to Nationwide.0 -
Does anyone know if NS&I levy a charge for transferring an ISA.
Myself, DH, DS & DD all have ISA's withe NS&I. However, I want to open new ones for this year with A&L and transfer from NS&I.0 -
If 4 of you have these products, surely at least one of you have the T&Cs, or do you want me to look them up for you?0
