looks like its only me who has applied for this then.

Have they allowed you to merge the old CASH ISA with the new eISA?
When I emailed them their reply was very misleading, they said i need to close the old CASH ISA in order to open the new one and they both cant be merged!

The impression I got from my colleagues was that it is a "new money only" ISA. I'm not sure you will be able to transfer your ISA money to one, internally or externally. I'll try to remember to check tomorrow though.

Just playing it as it goes ... if they cancel the transfer in I'll just go back to my original ISA provider and move somewhere else

Sometimes with HSBC is feels everything depends on who is dealing with your issue on that day and what level of access they have on the system. I've tested this theory br ringing in past on same issue on differnet days and getting different outcomes (ringing saturday morning is a good day to get something done that has been refused previously, as the normal people weekday people are off)
  • e-ISA still has not surfaced. Weird.
  • Similar situation, even my e-ISA has still not appeared, Has anyone applied for the e-ISA account and have been able to successfully transfer funds into it?

Me too! I applied on Monday evening and been checking everyday. The £10 deposit hasn't left my HSBC current account yet so maybe not processed yet.

I rang the HSBC Online Internet Application department just now and the kind lady told me that e-ISAs take up to five days to reach to them and I was advised to ring them back tomorrow.

The number is 0845 603 0246 for anyone else who wants to give it a try.

I applied late Sunday evening, and it appeared on my internet banking Wednesday evening.

    HTH.
  • Mine appeared this evening. So I guess it takes about 3-4 working days.
