Would my neighbour sharing my internet use intefere with my useage?

I would, why not trust that most people are okay? I would ask her for a contribution though then you both get cheaper internet access! Tell her about your download limit and ask whether she expects to be downloading a lot. Explain that if it goes over the limit you would expect her to pay or use this as an opportunity to change to get unlimited downloading.Torgwen..........

My friend never password protected her computer, and a builder she hired used her computer whilst she was out.
Your friends friends are the ones I would worry about.Peel back your baby's eyelid to find no nationality or religious identity mark there. Peer at your baby's eyes for them to reflect back just people-throw away your flags and religious symbols...0 -
Rule one of wireless, Encription and password protect. You may trust your friend next door but what about that geek in the car outside.
My Dad has free internet courtesy of someone near his house. My WiFi has maximum security. Better safe than lose all your files.0 -
If you want to share, do it safely with the Fon network, it's part owned by BT IIRC.0

Only without their knowledge, and with intent. And even then, it's a super gray area. I don't think what the OP is describing is inherently illegal.Russia is HERE0 -
Would you share your gas/electricity supply?
To me it's a similar thing - but then I'm not a tecchie so stand by to get flamed! I wouldn't let them use it, though.:j Almost 2 stones gone! :j

Yeah - but the things you describe aren't utilities that you pay for and people could potentially take liberties with!totalsolutions wrote: »Sagaris, do you share your air do you accept car lifts, birthday presents, life, sunshine, water, you know what I mean,

(Well ok, water is, but you wouldn't go on a meter then let your neighbour water their 100 acre garden!) :j Almost 2 stones gone! :j
