An Unsecured Debt Poll

This has probably been done before but I was just wondering! :think:
I know naff all about buying/selling/renting but when it comes to debt I'm pretty knowledgable.
With the credit crunch and a massively high percentage of people feeling or predicting to feel the squeeze I thought it might be an idea for people to realise how many other may be in the same position as them.
The poll is totally anonymous, but it might give some people (or even one person) a lightbulb moment to do something about their debts while they still can.
The debt free wannabe board is a super friendly (not like here
) place for support, advice or to help you drastically cut your expenditure on everyday outgoings so what have you got to lose by asking for help!

Not in debt, no mortgage

This is a nice idea SS.0 -
hiya SS! :hello: looks like i'm the first one to vote on your poll and I nearly picked the wrong option - i almost put no debt and have a mortgage, then remembered my student loan ("only" about 6k left to pay off, but i never think of it as debt... maybe cos it comes straight out of my pay so I never see or think of that money
)
Anyway, when I bought my house it was a spur of the moment thing, I wasn't even house-hunting, just seen a pic in an estate agents window and 3 days later had an offer accepted :eek:
I was also paying off HP on a car, and had 9 months left to go on it when I got my mortgage.
as long as your debt is manageable and you can afford to pay the mortgage/rent payments and all other expenses that go along with having a house then good luck to you - it is great to have your own space

I don't know you, but I was touched by this.
You are truly a worthwhile human being, taking the time out to think of others. I hope more than 1 person finds this thread and it helps to turn their life around.
I wish you well in your quest for a financially serene lifestyle.
Good luck to you, you lovely person.

Thanks.
I'm only giving back what I've taken from the site. I can't help with property stuff like people have helped me with, but debts I can.
