Anyone know how to contact odeon head office? I cant find their contact address anywhere! No email/nothing
Want to make a complaint. They didnt want us to use our gift voucher with a BOGOF offer - even thought nothing in the ts and cs said you couldnt!
Stood our ground mind and eventually they gave in, but we thought this was out of order. They said "you have to pay cash or card to get the offer, not gift voucher". Cant see HMV or any store trying that on with their BOGOF offers!
We paid for the voucher fair and square so why cant we use it with an offer like this?? What difference does it make to them?
Bad customer service all round.

Thats the plan... but being a faceless large organisation its impossible to contact their head office via their site or even find it on google. :mad:Being bored is so boring Im bored of it... :rotfl:0 -
Compensation for what??
Just write them a letter suggesting they train their staff a bit better in the use of vouchers and customer service.
Lots of Odeon vouchers state "not to be used on conjunction with any other offer", so given the staff aren't necessarily the brightest sparks, they probably thought the voucher was an offer rather than just a voucher. I see many money off vouchers in magazines etc... so maybe they thought it was one of these?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

I think you'll find he was being sarcastic.
Why do you need compensation?
As Pinkshoes says, infact you'll probably find it may be the case with other companies that they have terms and conditions like these.0 -
There was nothing on the tickets that stated "not for use with any other offer". Besides - I wasnt using another offer! I was using a gift voucher with BOGOF. Why cant I do that?
UGC Cinemas on orange wednesdays allow use of BOGOF with someone who has the monthly subs. Thats much better service.
Its the fact that 3 members of staff started to gang up on us and say how wrong we were - talking to us like 3 year olds - that was most annoying.
I dont want compensation anyway - just want to be able to use my BOGOF with gift vouchers. They recieved the money for the gift voucher (£7.50) - a ticket costs £7.50. If I give them £7.50 they would let me have BOGOF. If I use the voucher they wont. How does that make sense?
As I said its like HMV turning down use of giftvouchers on BOGOF dvds and the like.
Guess Im on my own on this one then. Sorry.Being bored is so boring Im bored of it... :rotfl:0 -
....but didn't you say they gave in?
If so the 3 staff members who "ganged up on you" must have stopped ganging up on you at some point and allowed you to use the vouchers.
By giving in does that mean you were able to use the vouchers?
If that is the case you argued your side and they saw the error of their ways. I cant see the gripe,0 -

I can. It would put me in a foul mood before the film has started. Goft vouchers are in effect cash therefore they should accept them as payment for all in store. I would write to head office pointing out how upset you were & how this spoilt your trip to the cinema even pointing out the service you got is seriously below what you expected & what you receive & the other cinema. Don't demand compensation but I would expect them to send you some free tickets.0 -
I think they gave in not because they thought we were right but because they saw a queue forming and other people starting to look at us. Didnt want a fuss caused. Still took 10 minutes by the time the manager was called (she didnt want to come out at first just told them to tell us we were wrong).
She still shook her head when she did it and the other 2 looked at us like we were trying to steal the crown jewels - not a seat at the cinema. And yes - it did put us in a foul mood at the start of the film. Luckily it was an excellent film which quickly perked us up (Son of Rambow).Being bored is so boring Im bored of it... :rotfl:0 -
LOL
Cheeky beggers. Gift vouchers are gift vouchers IMHO, i.e. the equivilant of cash with the restriction that it can only be spent with a certain company or group of companies.
Imagine if you had gift vouchers for a supermarket and they said "sorry, you can't benefit from 3for2 or BOGOF if you pay with those.I have a poll / discussion on Economy 7 / 10 off-peak usage (as a % or total) and ways to improve it but I'm not allowed to link to it so have a look on the gas/elec forum if you would like to vote or discuss.

the fact she did not want to come out would have pi55ed me right off, that's what is she paid for to deal with customers.
So yes I would try and track down number or address and give them a call.0
