accept high offer or let auction run?

I have an opposite example here. It was about 3-4 times that I was asked to put BIN on items I was selling and I decided I better let the auctions run and every time it was my loss. As well as a week ago I asked a seller to put a BIN(my offered price was £8) and this was rejected, today I won the item for 99p, well chuffed:) Also there're people who don't like bidding at all and only do BINs, so rejecting may put them off completely.0

well just to let you know.....
it went for £1400 over our reserve price! Price jumped up 600 in the last 30 seconds, with 2 bidders fighting it out! god bless bidsniper eh?!!
Buyer is absolutely lovely, she drove 200 miles today to collect and is really happy with her purchase! went to bank together and got a bankers draft together so both knew exactly where we were with the money. we've both already left ex feedback for each other, and i would love every buyer to be like her!
thanks so much to everyone for your time, experience and advice!0 -
In my experience, whenever we get numerous "can you (please) add a BIN @ £xx.xx" - there's a good chance the item is going to fetch a higher price than their offer or our expectations. Ocassionally the item sells for less than their offer, but only with about 1 in 10 of our 99p listings in the collectibles or antiques category..."Money is truthful. If a person speaks of their honour, make sure they pay in cash."0
