I have cancelled my transfer to Abbey I opened the account online the middle of March I filled in a transfer form online at the same time, waited about a month before I even heard from them. I have since filled in another transfer form, nothing happened last week I had a printed one (the online one I presume) sent through to me to sign, this is 3 weeks after I sent the other signed one to them. I have pin numbers coming out of my ears they keep sending them to me don't know why. My husband is still waiting for his registration number so he can get online, inspite of 3 phone calls requesting it. I cancelled the transfer on Tuesday informing both providers and yesterday had a letter from Abbey dated Friday saying they had sent the transfer form to my other provider. i have paid £2000 into this Abbey account but I am about to transfer it out and call it a day with them. Totally incompetent.

I'm another one still waiting for Abbey to process a transfer into their ISA. think I'll be transferring it straight back out again, assuming it ever shows up!!!

Also noticed they've dropped interest rate already just a month in, so yet another reason to get out! What would be the best ISA to look at? I opened one with Egg last year but transferred out when they dropped to 6.05% but notice they have maintained this rate ever since so beginning to wish I'd stayed with them now! :o

All 4 of us had already opened ISA's for this year with Skipton and that all went perfectly.

As the NS&I rate dropped, I wanted to find a home for those funds. I chose Abbey as the rate was good and they also accepted transfers in. Opened all 4 accounts over the phone, the paperwork arrived within a day. All the paperwork was sent back, SD, and received on 26 April. I knew something had happened, as mine and DD's ISA accounts were linked to our ebanking. DH's wasn't and neither was DS's. They are in the process of being sorted out. In the meantime, on 8 May I enquired about the progress of my ISA. I was told there was no information available and a request would be emailed to the ISA administration team. I was also told about the 30 day time limit. I replied that this only applied once they had applied for the funds, and if they had not done that, then the 30 day limit could not kick in. I received one pointless message on my phone telling me that the matter was being looked into - no name and no phone number.

I contacted the Chairman's Office and asked someone to look into this for me. Last Friday, 16 May, we all received letters dated 12 May advising that the Abbey had requested our monies from A&L. I also got a phone call from the Chairman's Office advising the same. I have requested an investigation into why it took so long for the funds to be requested, and I have also asked why when one enquires about an ISA, no information is available, and the Administration Team appear to have been placed on a pedestal, because you cannot communicate directly with them.
