Sorry a DS is a Nintendo Dual Screen hand-held console (It's the child side of me),

After I asked him over and over again and him telling me he doesn't know, he finally decided he wanted RAM for his PC (I think it's extra memory or something), although he didn't tell me how much it was i'm sure it costs half the price of my DS.

The sense has finally come to me and i have decided your right, i might as well get him something i know he wants and i know he'll get good use out of.

As a surprise a subscription is a great idea and i'm straight off to the WHSmith's website, and as it's his birthday i've decided to give and instead of a romantic day out (Much to my disapointment) we're going to the pub having a couple of drinks (just the 2 of us) and coming home to a curry or something.
    Hopeful-but-Doubtful :p
  • Ah right, thanks for explaining the DS. :)

It is hard to not give things we THINK they SHOULD like isn't it? I know I've struggled with it with Mr Thrift and he's exactly the same with me - still finds it hard to understand that clothes ARE a good present for me because to him they're just boring! :D

As long as your OH has a good birthday and likes his presents that's the main thing. I bet you'll both have a great time. :)
  • i must be getting old or a bit soft. i assumed DS was short for diamond solitaire!!
