blackberry on pay as u go?

i'm thinking if buying a blackberry off ebay its locked to 02 and i have a ay as u go sim will it work and what sort of speed will i get on the net wap or 3g

If you get an O2 PAYG SIM it will probably work, but you won't get push e-mail.

Most Blackberries only have 2.5G (EDGE), which will give you a maximum of approx 240kit/s. WAP is not a transmission technology and has no speed associated with it.

Usualy you have to subscribe to Instant Email to get Internet access on a Blackberry as it updates the device when connected.

Check with 02 but I think Instant Email is only available on contract.
