Its only a few months old so still under warranty. I will try to sort it because I really would like more RAM. But good to know its possibly an option

Update - I bought an static wrist strap and had another look. I was a bit more confident with the strap on and managed to slide the RAM further into its slot as everyone suggested. So it works and I am SO happy with my faster laptop :j
