Okay, at best it wasn't clear enough. Although it's clear, I'm not the only person that read it to mean that. However, I'm sure this latest post of mine will prompt plenty comments that will make the person posting them think they are very superior indeed!! :money: <<< wrong finger but it'll do!!!0

Nothing you can say will actually really bother me but do enjoy your winnings!
post reported though due to the language0 -
Do you really think they won? I could say I won as well 2 hours after the event, a bit like saying I bet on Forest to beat Cheltenham 3-1 and Sheffield United to win 3-0 against Leicester!

Well I took the the advice from Martin as 'read' but I should have read the T&Cs. You have to match the bet with at least the same amount or more. So, essentially it's not as per what Martin said, bet £25 and get it back the next day. This is the second time I've fallen for something like this, did the same last year on PaddyPower, I didn't get my free bet due to some rule/condition in the T&Cs, but I trusted Martin on what he said. That was pretty stupid. Now, I've loaded up my £25, luckily I've not placed my bet, but I can't work out how to get my money transfered back onto my card. The transfer fund but is greyed out, and of course, no contact numbers to speak of.
Martin, I thought you checked out the T&Cs as you're the expert, obviously not! BAD ADVICE!
Im confused  Are you saying you have to bet £50? £25 and match another £25...Im new to this and I bet £25.. and i still havent recevied anything..It also couldnt verify my age!!! Im worried now i Lost £25 which i cant affored to loose.Happiness is not having what you want...but wanting what you have!!!0 -
I followed Martin's advice too as I thought it was a sure thing, luckily I won so I haven't lost out, but my partner didn't. I don't understand this "matched" thing - what does it mean??0

Bad advice? It's VERY clear in the very first post exactly what you have to do.- Step 2. Place your bets. Then bet at least £25 on the Grand National in one bet or in a series of bets. Pick the standard 'backing' bets, highlighted in blue, rather than the pink 'lay' bets (more on this below).

Bet £25 on the National, get that £25 back in your Betfair account within 24 hours, which you can then withdraw. Thus getting a free £25 of bets.0 -
Yeah, that's what I did - exactly what Martin said to do - bet £25 on the National and I'm expecting to get that £25 back in the account within 24hours after the race. But the person that posted the message about the bad advice has confused me....do I get the £25 back or not??0

I've read Martin's post and the T&C's and don't see what the problem is.
You join Betfair and place a £25 bet. Within 24 hours they credit your account with £25 which you can then withdraw.
I can find no discrepancy between what Martin wrote and the T&C's.
The worst case outcome is that you lose the original £25 and then they give you £25, so it's a free bet.
The best way of using it would be to match it off at another exchange to lock in a profit, though if you were going to place a GN bet, then this is a free way of doing it.Well I took the the advice from Martin as 'read' but I should have read the T&Cs. It is the same as far as I can see.Happy chappy0
