Has anyone got any news on this its seems like we've been waiting foreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeever for a patch to come out to use the internal gps.
Or when is the tomtom 7 version going to be release that will support this?

Or should i just give up waiting and buy myself an external gps receiver (can anyone reccomend a good one) I've seen the small navicore slim sirfstar 111 is this any good?

Still not heard anything about the TomTom but TeleAtlas (the people who do the maps for tomtom and most of the sat nav market) are releasing their own handheld software which supports both built-in and external bluetooth devices. I've had a go with an early beta of it and it seems to be pretty decent plus its rumoured to be in the region of £60 complete with european maps plus they should have the ability to purchase speed camera updates as well.
Not a fan of the Garmin one I'm using at the moment cos my TomTom 6 install didn't like the phone software update that I did plus that needs an external bluetooth device.

I got a Holox 44x off ebay which has worked very well for me so far which was about £40 all in with postage.
