Transfering funds before deadline

Hello

I am looking for advice on the following situation.

I currently have a a current account and ISA with the Halifax. I have opened an A+L ISA but don't have the documetns through in time to get money in prior to the deadline.

My questions
Can I transfer money into my Halifax ISA from my current account even through I have opened the A+L one and not put any money in and do a transfer from my Halifax ISA to A+L ISA next week?

Should I try to withdraw funds from my Halifax current account and go to an A+L branch and put the money into my new ISA I have the account number. Problem with this is that I will not be able to get £3000 out my current account As Halifax as a maximum branch withdrawal of £1200?

Thansk for you help

Bit unclear. If you're transferring your Halifax to the new A&L ISA .... then basically all you can do is fund the Halifax one and let it transfer i.d.c.

But it does sound that you weren't intent on doing that? However - as we're at the year end : You can fund the Halifax one now and then ask A&L to just transfer those funds in .. once into the new year. Then add your next year contribution direct to A&L?
If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !
