Lastminute.com do a London Eye and boat trip package for about a pound more than the actual London Eye ticket. Go early and spend the rest of the day meandering along Bankside towards London Bridge, there's all sorts of stuff to see along the way - the South Bank - Royal Festival Hall always has free stuff going on, some little galleries, shops, Tate Modern, and then into Southwark, Borough market etc. It's my absolute avourite way of spending a day in London. It's Londoner's London :)

If you take the boat trip you'll see much of it from the River before you walk it.

I always think "Bistro 1" is a good bet for a nice meal out at a reasonable price. There's one on Beak St (near Carnaby St/Oxford Circus/Regent St), one at Frith St (Soho/Chinatown/Leicester Square) and one at Southampton St (Covent Garden/Strand/Charing Cross). They do great 2 or 3 course mediterranean style menus at a set price and I find the wine good value. If you google "Bistro 1" you will find their website and their menus.
Yeah, whatever. I'm a grown up, I can take it...

To see lots of sites cheaply I would recommend the number 15 bus. It's a double decker which will take you from Tower Hill (Tower Bridge/Tower of London) through the city past St Pauls, onto Trafalgar Square and up to Oxford Circus. Handy if you have a travelcard/Oyster card and can hop on and off.

...and you like Indian, try the Halal Reatsurant on Alie Street/St. Mark Street (the oldest Indian Restaurant in the city) by Aldgate East tube. You will get the best meat biryani on God's earth for £4. Avoid weekday lunchtimes tho' - the City types pack it to the rafters!

    Hi

    Look at
http://www.daysoutguide.co.uk/ for lots of 2 for 1 deals. If travelling by car the just buy a ceap ticket, though to be honest they don't always ask.

    This has some useful tips

Use Tesco deals vouchers for entrance to attractions and food. Dont forget all the big museums are free! www.daysoutguide.co.uk The only place which asked us for our 2 for 1 train ticket was Tussauds.Just buy a tube ticket.

Careful, those deals might not include drinks which can really push up the prices. I reckon you'd get 3 courses and wine and coffee for a lot less than that at Bistro 1.
