I don't see where it says that. 1Mb is the slowest speed offered by NTL, so you can't upgrade to it.

However, NTL has plans to upgrade all users to 10Mb. The first customers to be upgraded will be current 3Mb customers, who will be upgraded later this year.

You can upgrade. I am 300kbps. But just a warning, there is limit to how much you can download. I think it is 3gb.

You just call them up to get the free upgrade.. simple as that.

And just for your information, they are soon upgrading ALL dsl connections to minimum 10mbps - This will take place towards the end of 2005 or beginning of 2006, but it is 100% confirmed this will be taking place....

NTL is to crank up the speed for all its broadband punters by setting access speeds at 10 meg as standard. The upgrade to its network is due to be completed by the end of 2006.

those currently on 300K can upgrade to 1 meg. Howeverthe download limited will be reduced to one tenth of the previous limit (3gig per month down from 30)
