Acquiring Tiscali's UK business would make Carphone the biggest broadband service provider in the UK, leapfrogging both Virgin Media and BT (the UK incumbent operator).

Hmmm, if CPW have the SMP on BB will there be a relaxation on BT BB and a tightening on CPW by Ofcom do you think?

Quite agree, if the way that CPW have screwed up AOL is anything to by.

Also not sure how long CPW would stay number one for, if you believe numerous comments on various forums CPW/AOL are currently loosing customers in droves due to poor service & the badly managed changeover from the America Online servers to the CPW/Opal servers.
