Freezing carrots

I've got a carrier bag full of carrots which are slightly past their peak. I'd like to freeze them so I can cook them in a few minutes. I guess I need to slice them, boil them, cool them and freeze them. Is that right? It seems too simple.0

I find it even simpler to slice them into plastic bag s and microwave for a couple of minutes, cool and then freeze. Hope this helps.Sealed pot challenge 5430 -

Think I'm going to chop and freeze them without boiling first. Easiest is always best in my book!0

I hope I am putting this in the right place. My problem is that I keep buying carrots and they keep going off before I use them all.
So I was wondering about cutting up the carrots I buy and freezing them so I can just use them as I want. Does anyone know if you can just freeze the cut carrots or do you have to do something with them first ?"The time is always right to do what is right"0 -
I always freeze mine, and they're fine in stir frys and stews. (When I'm feeling energetic, I even do a variety of cuts - coin, julienne, finely chopped - ready for any recipe, I am :rotfl: )0

I would chop them up and blanche them first before freezing.0
