In the Ghetto

Just noticed a new sub board up top...but all the old rants have gone.'The Ghetto' is my(?) name for the House Price Crash All In Wrestling Board.
Good to potter over to for those procrastinating moments in the day...not having too many of those though, far too busy not earning enough at the mo.
FWIW, I'm now living an old mantra " Expect the unexpected"...so spend my time thinking of all the totally unexpected things that could happen...and then find that completely diff scenarios occur.
Something doesn't feel right at the moment (in the general scheme of things), but I can't put my finger on it.
PS; 75% of our customers seem totally unaffected by the credit crunch. Wonder if that is a general population percentage?0 -

Funny you should say that.
Out there in the real world, most people do indeed appear to be behaving quite normally. Most of them are not buying or selling houses, of course.
Trying to keep it simple...

It's true. In the last recession, unemployment peaked at 11%(?). Lots of self-employed people faced big drops in income (anecdotally at least) but the Salaryman, if he kept his job, was largely unaffected except perhaps losing a bit of overtime.0 -
That's just too exciting! It's like a double ghetto. A ghetto gateau.
I need a sit down and a cup of tea.
:rotfl:
After a few days frenzy they all seem to be settling into their new home quite nicely.
Of course I should point out they don't own that home, (they wouldn't want to own it anyhow), no, they merely rent space on it. It's what every FTP (first time poster) should do.
Imagine if you started buying up space on that board and then you had a 20% drop off in the number of words you'd posted.
You end up with loads of unfinished sentences all over the0
