In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non-MoneySaving matters are not permitted per the Forum rules. What happened to The Ghetto? Has it finally collapsed under the weight of its own vitriol?

It doesn't appear on my PC any more nor on the BlackBerry. Both the Ghetto and the 'Only post stuff in the Ghetto please' threads have disappeared.
I reckon it's a plot by VIs, EAs, LAs and Mrs T myself.0 -
I've heard that he'd entered a Daily Mail competition, one of the one where you have to save up all of the tokens, and won a cottage in Surrey. Apparently, is now an active and respected member of the local drag hunt but the WI are still a bit iffy about letting him in.0

The ghetto has it's own ghetto now.
Have you found it yet?

Actually it's even better than that! We've got a shiny new ghetto now called House Price Jabber or something.0 -

That's just too exciting! It's like a double ghetto. A ghetto gateau.
I need a sit down and a cup of tea.0 -
or a drop of brandy
Ha ha, yes indeed.
In fact it'll have to be alcohol free brandy for me. Am off the booze for a bit. Have done 3x17hr days Mon-Wed, 15hrs today and probably another 17 tomorrow so the last thing I need is a thick head slowing me down so I have to do 18 instead!0 -
I worked it out yesterday. £5.34ph net this week I reckon.
Last job was £28ph gross (contracting).
But if this job pays off (which is looking increasingly less likely right now) then a good 7 figure sum should be mine in 5 years time.0 -
Try shop fitting. OH quoted and got a job in Guildford.
It looks fab and client most pleased but he got his costings 'a little' wrong plus whatever could go wrong, did go wrong. TLTP but shopfits just like house renovations.
2 wk job became 5 wks. 18 hr days plus 2 X 38 hr overnighters.
Have been totting it all up and reckon he could have cleared around ..oooh £1.25 ph.
Mind you, he came home another stone lighter but the extra bags under the eyes....
Just butting in on this but what is a ghetto thread???? This board is a bit of one all over innit?0 -
'The Ghetto' is my(?) name for the House Price Crash All In Wrestling Board.0
