Hi,
I have a BT option one landline, i am making alot of calls to mobile phones, orange etc, is there any way where i can cut the cost down. Like put in a code so to get the cost of the call to the mobile at say one pence per minute? Similar to the deals on offer when making calls abroad to mobiles?
I have a number code when i plug it into the touch pad on my landline it cuts the cost of calls abroad to one pence per minute, is there anything similar where it works when making calls from your BT landline to mobile phones in the UK only?
Thank you very much for any help.

All the override number providers are still nowhere near that cheap - and the reason is that in the UK the mobile operators charge for receiving a call; this passes through the chain to the consumer. There are calls plans from BT, etc. that include a mobile allowance as well - worth checking out.The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster!

Has anybody used either of these below, are they really 6 pence per minute when calling from a UK BT landline to a UK mobile phone?

You may also find the MSE UK Callchecker useful. (but you have probably found that already

You might get a better reply if this was moved to the home phone forum.
Either way as you are on option one you might as well sign up to Primus Saver Option 2, which gives you free evening and weekend landline calls:

Should save you some money on your landline calls. Secondly check out the following article for some tips and clarification:
