Can't you borrow a pan from your Mum or a friend?

You could get away with one pan, cook spuds first (10 mins) then when they're in the oven cook carrot & swede (they can be mashed then left to cool) then use same pan for gravy at the end. That still leaves you time to cook another veg which can be blasted in the micro before serving.

nah pans aren't expensive and i could do with another anyway. Plus need a gravy boat rather than a jug.
Half the stuff i need i haven't got in the cupboards anyway so got to buy nearly everything.. and a shed load of alcohol.

I use a 3 tier steamer on the hob,the current one was about £6 in Argos 12 years ago and it is used most days still going strong, I didn't get on with the electric version at all. I have seen them in Matalan for a reasonable price.

Hope it all goes well on Sunday S_G looking forward to hearing how it went...:j
