Abbey ISA - Speak to someone who makes sense

After having too many problems with overseas call centres trying to simply transfer money into an Abbey ISA, I was given a secret method for only speaking to a UK Call Centre. I'm not knocking overseas call centres, but Abbey's is rubbish, with rude, inept staff with no powers who have a penchnt for hanging up on you when you deviate from the script.
Anyway - dial their normal number - 0845 6000 181, then when you get the automated option menu, press 0 (it's not an option listed). Then you automatically will go to a UK only call centre.
I'd be interested to know if pressing '0' from their other numbers (i.e. not ISA numbers) will do the same thing? Do let us know if it does.

I can Completely understand you.
Abbey is not a British bank anymore and by using Indian call centres and giving poo service it means only one thing for me: a company that put their customer service as the lowest priority.
I have 3 different accounts with them, all with good rates but why ho why do they have to use these Indian agents?! I mean at list if they were good and easy to understand! what's wrong with the UK? I really don't mind paying extra for a good service and I am sure I am not alone.Five exclamation marks the sure sign of an insane mind!!!!!
