  • Got my cheque through this morning, the one thing that I do question is the fact I never gave them my middle initial but this has appeared on the cheque.

Other than that, HSBC, has the company name on it so it all looks legit.

I received one of these texts last night and also got charged £1.50 for the privilege.

I've also e-mailed both addresses so let's see if they reply. I'm not giving them my home address so I won't be able to get a refund. As long as I don't get charged anything else by them that will have to do!

    One is not amused!

Can anyone help me with this? I got zapped for 12 texts in 8 minutes at £1.50 a go from 700034379. I did not receive any messages on my phone, just the charges on my bill. I contacted Tmobile who, as seems to be everyone's experience, did not want anything to do with my complaint. They told me that the company is an advertising company called Text Media PO Box 465, Rochdale.Tmobile gave me a number to call - 0871 7501030, and guess what, when you call it the message goes on for ever and then they give you another number , 0905 1611000 , if you want to speak to a live person! Does any one have any info/experience of this crowd of fraudsters? Ive complained to Phone payplus,
    how effectual are they?
Im tearing my hair out here as I cant afford to be out of pocket like this?
    Is there any hope?

you will always be rich enough to be generous.
  • I complained to PhonepayPlus a couple of months ago after being charged £5 for these type of texts from Venista Ltd (shortcodes 80707,81212,82324,82344,82355,82442,85222,83044,83435,84437,85051,88228) and have just received a reply telling me my complaint was justified and they issued a 'Formal Reprimand' and fined Venista £50,000. Sounds good, but did they actually pay the fine, or are they making that much money from these scams, this is just peanuts to them!
They also gave me details on how to claim back the monies stolen from me by these parasites.
