Mac codes - expiry date?

Options
quick question from a clueless person here! I was with Pipex for a couple of years and stopped using them in March 2007 as I moved abroad for work. I didn`t ask for any Mac code at that time when I quit.

Moved back to the UK 13 months later and I`m looking to use 02 as my new provider.

Do I still need to get a MAC code from Pipex? Or do Mac codes have an expiry date of some sort? (I haven`t used any other ISP provider in 13 months/phone line not used)

I heard it`s a bit of a hassle getting your MAC code from them so I`m hoping I dont have to go through all that hassle

Thank you

a mac expires after 30 days, but as you never asked for one i'm hoping you just cancelled the service from pipex (you've not been paying for 13 months, have you?)

No I`ve not been paying for those 13 months, especially to Pipex :D

I cancelled with them and luckily didn`t encounter any problems surprisingly

    Appreciate the reply thanks
