How do you get 100 liters into your car if you want to fully use the maximal benefit of the coupon?0

I noticed that Sainsburys also has the 5p a litre off and in my area their fuel is 1p cheaper than Tescos(90.9) What I find strange is that Tesco in Stevenage have diesel at 91.9 and another Tesco a few miles away in Baldock are selling it for 93.9. I have never been able to figure out how the same company sell the fuel at different prices.0

My local Tesco (Goodmayes) are selling UL @ 90.9 per litre, but I found the one in Colchester had it @ 88.9 - so I filled up and used my 5p off voucher on the way back from holiday.
So in real terms, I saved 7ppl off of my local store.
And spending £50 in store isn't too hard, as long as they have a good stock of Birds Eye Beef in Gravy!!0 -
Last time I filled up, Tesco refunded the difference because Sainsburys was cheaper. They have a petrol price policy of always being cheaper, or the same price, as the competition.

This is because the price per litre is not solely based on profit margin but like all Tesco prices along with other supermarkets on the ability to pay due to demographic circumstances ie as much as they can possibly get away with without losing too much trade!Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
I discovered last shop that as long as your original total was over £50, even if you use vouchers to reduce the total to below £50, you will still get the petrol discount. My total was £53, used £6 in vouchers so paid £47, but the petrol voucher still was issued.
The same seems to work for clubcard points - they are calculated on your original total, not the reduced total after coupons.0 -
Of course - because the coupons are as good as money to the supermarkets. They don't come out of their pockets, but the manufacturers'.0

Aw and there's me thinking I was being fair by not singling out Tesco on their own!
They want your money that is their sole objective I just think we should at least struggle a little before parting with it or at least barter in any way we can to drop the price, these supermarkets browbeat their suppliers day in day out to increase productivity and reduce prices why shouldn't we fight back a little eh, many deprived areas in our cities have some of the highest supermarket prices just because someone built a marina or a multiplex on their doorstep and threw up a couple of dozen blocks of overpriced "self contained living modules" flat's to you and me!
Sorry off topic I know but just to qualify as a legitimate post take note you do not have to spend £50 to get the 5p off every Tesco entrance foyer and car park will be littered with the damn things, so don't alter your buying patterns just your eyeline!Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0
