I always just use neat washing up liquid and small areas. Start with a hot damp cloth and wu liq and circle it round and round. Anyone any idea where I can buy Starclens in Carmarthen, S Wales? Please? Have used it for years-wonderful stuff, but now Morrisons no longer stock it.0

It's not OS, but I have discovered that the new Domestos Grotbuster gel is FANTASTIC for getting grease and muck off things. The good thing about it is that you only need about half a teaspoon sized amount onto a hot damp cloth and it just melts grease and dirt. I did the extractor fan housing over my cooker today and was sooooo impressed as it only took me about 5 minutes. Then I did all the cupboards, appliances and skirting boards in the kitchen and then went outside and did all the PVC frames. I only used a small amount too, so have lots left out of the bottle which cost me 95p. To me it seemed much better than Stardrops, but I will still use Stardrops for cleaning the general areas of the house and paintwork etc.Jane

The best product I have ever found for cleaning the greasy grime from the top of cupboards was LOC. A little goes a very long way.
I bought it when I was young and stupid and allowed myself to be drawn into the Amway scheme. If I could buy it now I would but I don't know if you can get it without having to deal with a hard sell from one of their consultants. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I find that washing soda is great for these jobs. It's also cheap.Debt at highest: £6,290.72 (14.2.1999)

'Starclens' is the ammonia based 'Stardrops' stuff. Might do the trick
Starclens is the only thing I can get the grease off my cooker hood!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"
