prob with wharfedale tv and home cinema sstem

weve had our wharfedale 32" flat screen for about a year and yesterday we brought a new dvd and home cinema system. the system works fine for dvds but we cannot get any sound out of it when watching normal tv through a freeview box. all the leads areconnected. any ideas? cant find the user manual for the tv either.

Also just to add, once you have rigged it up as I suggested above, then stick on the Pro Logic II option on the HCS, which will process the 2 channel TV audio to a kind of fake 5.1 (good for movies on freeview etc)*

* Unless of course you really have a desire to have Eastenders in 5.1 as well.
