I have had Bt mobile for just over one month, the signal is OK in my surrounding area but at my house it's really poor. I didnt really notice it at first and it took so long (2 1/2 weeks) to port my number over that it was way past my cooling off period.

I have the motorola V600

Has anyone got any useful tips that will help me or have I just got to put up with it? can you get something like an aerial boost?
Thank you I hope.......

I have signed up for a year on the 150+ deal.

  • Hi, yes you can boost the signal indoors, signal boosters that fit in the back of the phone can be bought on ebay for a few £ but I wouldnt recommend them. There is a company called Skymast who sell indoor aerial solutions for some mobiles. Their website is http://www.skymasts.com

    Thanks for the info
I have actually received an email about 1/2 hour, following my query to them, to say that they are actually going to be using Vodafones network in the new year instead of TMobile. so hopefully that will be good. I have replied asking when exactly so hopefully will not have to wait too long to receive a much better signal. I know vodafone works better.

Has any one tried a booster off ebay? Any other tips?

I see on a programme called Brianiac (Sky one), that the mobile phone boosters don't really work, they actually found that covering the kitchen in tin foil increased the signal by 2 bars though.

(Don't think this will sovle your problem, just thought i'd shall some useless knowledge with you) ;D

Tin foil sounds great - the stainless steel look is all the rage.

Have you tried that old favourite. Bending a wire coat hanger? You could make yourself a pair of angel wings from 2 wire hangers, add some foil and glitter to improve the reception and look. Finally make yourself a halo from a 3rd hanger with more foil added. There now isn't that easier and cheaper than buying a signal booster? 8)
