Urg, I just applied for one too, given the recommendation on this site, and the BT figures were supplied with the application as well. Here's hoping the 2% doesn't rear it's ugly head!!!!

I just got my Virgin credit card today and it says on the letter with it that "you will be charged 2% for any balance transfers" - I requested the balance transfers on the application form and will be annoyed therefore if I get charged - I tried to phone them today but was on hold for 25 mins and couldn't wait any longer so I don't know if I actually have been charged - but the letter makes it pretty clear.
Sign up for the online account servicing at the Virgin site and you can see whether you have been charged today!

Sorry if this has already been covered before but can anyone tell me if the 2% BT fee is capped at £50 or not.

    Hi GH,

From memory the Virgin BT fee is capped at £35 (rather than £50). However :

    1. Always check your Ts&Cs to see what they say.

    2. There should be no fee payable during the introductory period (check when you make the transfer).

It is very easy to log in. All you need is your card and personal details and you can get instant access.

Thanks got in no problem , very easy to do :)

One disappointing thing i found with this card, online anyway that there are only two options for the direct debit, minimmum payoff or full balance payoff! i wanted to pay a set amount each month!

Is there a way i can do this?
  • Hi, can anyone tell me what difference having an existing MBNA credit card has on getting a Virgin card with the 0% fee free BT?

Why not set up a set amount in a standing order from your bank? That is what i have done with my virgin card.
