Hi Snaggles, Gemmzie, Bob and Skint!! Phew, it was just me then! Sorry to hear of of your trials and tribulations today Bob, it's not good the consultant treated you and your family like that, but I hope the GP does better!

I would say write a letter of complaint, but a friends boyfriend wrote to his GP surgery about being kept waiting over an hour for his appointment. They replied, but forgot to put a stamp on, so not only did he have to collect the letter from the post office, but also pay £1.34 for the privilege!!

NHS - it's up the wall, as Peter Kay once said!

  • Thanks Skint and QB, it is not the time i had to wait but the lack of competency on her part. She hadn't done homework, tests thatshould have been there had been done in Jan, so not unreasonable to expect some feed back. It was also getting dd2's hopes up that after a lifetime of bowel problems, something was going to be done. She had promised us a fresh look at her problem, way back in December, so after her undergoing a series of very unpleasnat and intrusive tests for a 16 year old- I felt completely mortified on her behalf. DD2 has had a rubbish year after being diagnosed with diabetes as well, and was trying to explain to the consultant about diet related concerns as well-which were just rubbished by the consultant.
The final conversation with her, was about-how if we wished to see her again, we would have to be referred over to Wythenshaw where she had got a new appt.-I don't think so! She was more concerned about that than our daughter, and i am not having her fobbed off on some other inept and starting all over again.

Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:

I do wonder sometimes why certain people become Doctors.
Do they forget that is what you go to see them for?
If I were you BOB I would just keep badgering them and your GP too....you never know they may get fed up listening to you and actually deal with the situation properly:D

I was just wanting to make sure you were all my friends still, so yes maybe I was looking for a bit of attention, but I don't ask for it very often - only when Bob and I want to discuss how wonderful Richard A is still looking in my avatar - mmmmmm!

Also Len - I love the quote you've added! I love Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes! One of my favourite quotes when Gene said about someone being 'As nervous as a very short nun at a penguin shoot'!! Great stuff!

Cheers Jinky. Her previous team were great, it is the adult team that are the problem although she is still under the care of some of the childrens services. So i am asking for them to now continue her care.

QB, hey, everyone needs a bit of attention now and again!

Going to ask a really silly question now - please don't hate me but.....Richard A...who?

Looks quite cute, but I have no idea who he is, lol!

My doctors are complete rubbish, one of them in the practice hardly looks up from the computer screen, you could be [strike]sat[/strike] stood their with another head growing out of your bum and he would just say you have a viral infection.

I once went with a severe cough and what seemed like flu and he just said it should clear up in a few weeks, I had to ask him to listen to my chest, I actually had pheumonia!!
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.
