Will I lose my connection for 1-3 weeks if I switch to Be?

Options
On Be's web site, it says:

"If your order is accepted, your BT phone line will physically be connecting to our network in your local exchange (this usually takes about 1 - 3 weeks). In the meantime you will have access to an 0845 number for dial-up internet access"

Does this mean I will lose my current broadband (BT) for 1-3 weeks while they move me to Be? I don't want to go back to dial-up for even 1-3 days.

Thanks

No, you request a MAC from BT and give this to BE who will then give you a switch over date. On this day you may only be without broadband for 10 minutes if you are lucky, depending on the engineer in the exchange and how long he takes to re jumper your line. The 1 - 3 weeks is for provisioning new customers.
