My wife was surveyed by the local LEA (She's a mature student:rolleyes: ) and when she searched for their website online she found this website:
    http://www.studentfreestuff.com/:mad:
As a keen comper she showed me, but it just seems 2 good to be true.
I searched the forums for any word on this and couldn't find anything.
Have any of you wonderful guys and gals come across this before?
If it is legit there is loads of free stuff on it!
    Thanks for all your help.:T :T :T :T :T
:jGood luck ALL compers and Thanks to all posters:T

A quick look - just looks like a site that gains money by providing affiliates to other sites so it probably has links to all the spammy ones too :)

was just wondering what the situation is on the phone / premium text competitions, thought that they werent really meant to be on here - reading martins rules etc sticky - but we seem to be getting more of them - would they not be better in the postal/magazine sticky (perhaps renaming it to include text or phone)?

    2. Free Competitions Only. This is a not a place to advertise competitions you have to pay to enter. I will accept limited cost text message type competitons (though frankly they're usually naff apart from in special circumstances) where they cost up to £1.50 to text to enter, but generally I would say make sure they are free.

That's Martins rule, I think we need to stick with free, or maybe 10p / cheap ones. People get obsessed with this comping lark

    Drift caught ;)

I think nowadays its just a case of who gets in first unfortunately, when the board was not as busy there was a kinda forum etiquette that regular posters would post certain comps (and in no way is that meant to sound snobby :) ) you knew who had certain websites under control

Go ahead and post what you find if its not on here x

As far as I know, no one has dibs on posting comps except for the Puzzler ones - if someone has said they'll go & buy a magazine, they will be the ones to post the answers.

Think that's how it works, but I could be wrong..

I dont take that as snobby in any way, i just try to steer clear of searching mags and tv sites , isps , because i realise the same poster has them in hand, just hate to offend xxx

I have a certain quota of websites in my favourites that I check everyday. I now don't go out of my way to search for comps like I used to ( plus I don't have the time!) but when I was awol due to lappy probs all "my" comps had been posted by the time I got to check

its a cuththroat business nowadays ;)
