I'm afraid I believe that swapping/selling is not allowed on these forums. You could either try selling any spares on ebay! yes people will buy them! or possibly try your local gumtree. Be very care especially on ebay as scammers will try to take advantage of this promotion. they advertise what looks like a rare sticker but actually are either just selling a picture or an actual monopoly card!!if i had known then what i know now0

Having gone through the whole board this morning to finish todays 'comp ending' thread I noticed a lot of OOT comps - going as far back as last month.
Who do I PM the links to to be able to move them to game over?
I don't mind going through the list later as I need to check if there is any more comps ending 23rd ready for tomorrows list but don't want to send them all to a BG who's away for Easter or won't be around for any other reason ITMS.

Hello All,
I've got an idea for a Sticky Thread! - DON'T PANIC!
i have noticed that a lot of the same questions keep coming up again and again in these Discussion areas and even in comps, How to's What if's etc, - off the top of my head things like - Clickys, terms and conditions, opt out boxes, Ettiquette, Bumping and so on.
Understandably so, as lots of new people are joining the forum all of the time
How about a FAQ Sticky that everybody can go to?
This may help comping newbies ( listen to me.. i've only been here since Jan:o ) integrate into this forum a little easier with all the knowledge in one place.
I know a lot of information is floating about in other threads, i just think it would tidy it up a bit.
Let me know what you all think and/or to give some suggestions for this thread- even if its shut up ya eejit!:DCrossing off my Bucket List. Not going to wait for a nod from the Doctor!!0 -

That's a brilliant idea. However, someone wrote recently that we already have loads of stickies, and that we might not be allowed to have any more. I keep my own word document where I paste useful links and info that people have posted here, in the tips thread and elsewhere. I'd happily share that if this gets off the ground.Al Mac Appreciation Society No. 188

I thought that's what the comp tip thread would be about .....0

Also do you regular competition participants find you get alot of junk mail ?
thanks
Hi GoodRiddance :hello:
I've been comping for a while now & been very fortunate with my wins. I always tick for no contact from 3rd parties & make sure that I only ask for other info if I am interested in the product/site or if a newsletter opt in is how to enter for the comp.
I get hardly any junk mail from comps & if something does turn up then I just call the company to be removed from their list. Only had 5 things through the post since July '07 which were junk mail from comps so I don't think that's too bad
Good luck in your comps!Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out0 -
I thought that's what the comp tip thread would be about .....
Perhaps the answer would be to slip an FAQ post in at the beginning of the tips thread, condensing all of the tips. That would avoid another sticky.Al Mac Appreciation Society No. 188

I see your point, and it is a valid one Catz747,
but i feel it gets a little messy and the information is all over the place, plus not all the How to's etc are in there.
How about this?.....If we all come up with a list of subjects that you feel are FAQ's (frequently asked questions) or even if it is a subject everybody should have knowledge of, then i will take the time ( with a bit of help hopefully) to put them all together in one opening thread called FAQ
For Example :
How do i do a CLICKY?
Explanation
How do i start a thread for a new comp?
Explanation
And so on...
Very similar to Martins:A Rules Thread, which people look at but don't reply to.
I don't want to start a STICKY for the sake of it, because they tie up the COMP page but i feel this one may have MANY advantages
and thankyou RRickyuk, if this is a popular idea i will take you up on that offer:DCrossing off my Bucket List. Not going to wait for a nod from the Doctor!!0 -

That's what I thought was going to happen, I didn't think the tip thread was staying as it is, I thought it was still in progress
Just noticed it's been there 9 months0
