I also just ordered 1 box of 50 ballpoint pens at a whopping £0.49

Set up a personal account, when the (extrememely nice) woman asked where I heard about Viking I said my friend had a mailing which had details on it about a free dvd player with first order.

I gave her the order code for the pens (Q51-S400-BK), then gave her the DVD code (Y23-PRDVD5). She asked "So you just want to spend 49p today?" I said yes, and she said that she'd have to check with a supervisor to see if she could do that. Though it was going to be one of those "I would have got away with it too if it wasn't for those pesky jobsworths" moments. But within ten seconds she was back on the phone saying that it was fine, completed my order and wished me a good day :T

I didn't get offered the hi-fi though, would've taken that instead!! Anyone fancy a swap? ;)

By the way, I have repped, but thanks again susielou, great spot!

  • Got the DVD player through today. It's not got a digital display, but you can't complain as it's basically free.....

Got the Berlin Brown leather chair for £24.95 as well, that was from a flyer through the post.
  • Brilliant find my son needed a dvd player for his bedroom, they did ask why i was placing such a small order and i answered that i wanted to check their service level before i place my large order.

I rang up and tried to order the pens and dvd player and the lady said i had to have the code off the back of the book to set up an account to be able to order.
I told her i saw the offer at a friends house and didnt have that code and did she have a code, she said no. And wouldn't let me order.

has anyone got a code to set up an account?

Delivery is showing as £3.95, is this because I live in Northern Ireland or how come everyone elses p&p is cheaper?
  • My DVD player & pens have just been delivered. :j

I think it partly depends on who takes your call.

When i was asked if i had code i said i didnt have the leaflet to hand but did have the order numbers of what i wanted to order & the sales lady then just set up an account.

I wish my orders with Marks & Spencer could be as speedy as Viking!:o
