DVD player for £1.59!

Viking Direct posted a brochure through my door which is offering a FREE DVD player to NEW customers, with any purchase.

I had a very quick flick through the brochure and noticed boxes of 20 assorted colour ballpoint pens for £1.59. The order code for these is Y23-979537.

There may be other things on offer which are even cheaper! To add the free DVD player you quote the codeY23-PRDVD5. Call 0844 579 0000 to order.

The DVD player brand is not mentioned, but it has the usual features (slim design, digital display, remte control, USB port on the front, etc.)

I ordered a Berlin cream leather and chrome office swivel chair from Viking recently for £14.99, down from £59.99. It came with a free Radio/CD player. Both are excellent quality, and the order was processed very quickly.

They are also offering a cream / chrome Berlin swivel office chair in this brochure, but this time it is not leather. It is reduced from £44.99 to £9.99! (the order code is Y23-979274). I'll be ordering one of these for my student bro!

Before anyone accuses me of having any involvement with Viking, I don't - I just wanted to share a great offer with other MS's.

Sorry this has gone on a bit - hope it helps some of you.:D

I don't know why they are saying this as the brochure quite clearly states 'free DVD player for new customers with ANY order from this catalogue'.

It might be worth giving them a call, as I found them very helpful when I called them recently. (I found out they were offering a free radio/CD player with a Berlin chair, AFTER placing my order. I called and asked politely if I could still have it, and they agreed instantly).

    Hope you get lucky,
    Susielou ;)

I suggest you call them. The brochure states 'when you're ready toplace your first order call 0844 579 0000 to set upyour new account'.

Sorry - I should have mentioned this last night, but overlooked it. Hope you manage to get one.

Thank you loads Susielou - I've just rung, ordered the pens (nothing else), postage was about 2 quid, and my pens and free dvd player should be with me in next 2 days!! (I could have had a hi fi apparently instead, but I stuck with the dvd player) - They were very polite too!

I just said that 'a friend' had had a leaflet thru the post and it said that it had a free dvd player for new account holders when they placed an order for anything. She said that was correct and I asked if there was a minimum order - she said no minimum order. I asked about postage and she said if it was less than a 30pounds order it would be 2 pound something (can't remember exactly). So I ordered the pens that the OP suggested, and gave her the ref no for the dvd player (she said I could have a hi fi if I wanted instead). She said there were other 'special offers' on today, and I let her tell me what they were (storage boxes, paper), and I said I dodn't want any today. She confirmed the order details and said I should have them in a couple of days!

I've just phoned them, set up an account and now I'm looking forward to delivery of a box of pens and a dvd player for less than a fiver! Marvellous!
  • Thank-you very much OP!
