Thanks to OP - needed new INK anyway - cost 2 quid more than ebay but with a DVD player thrown in !0

I've just phoned them with the code Y23-PRDVD5 and was I told I had to order £30 of goods to get the DVD player offer. She even spoke to her superviser for 3 or 4 minutes but to no avail. They must have sussed their slipup.

This worked for me and my pens and dvd player will be with me tomorrow

For those who think £1.59 is too much then you can order a pack of these pens for £0.16. The ref is H24-9750080 -
Newrotic - I would ring them again and ask someone else if I were you0

the chair that the OP mention is out of stock now0

Does anyone know what sort of hi-fi they're offering as an alternative to the dvd player?0

I didn't really need a DVD player, but - never one to resist a bargain - I decided to order one as a gift for student bro. Because I already have an account with them, I set up a new account using his name and address. Because you need the code from the brochure, which is name and address specific, I said a friend had passed the details on to me by phone, and I did not have the brochure to refer to. The lovely operator seemed happy with this explanation.
The first thing I asked her was if there was a minimum order value for the free DVD player, as the brochure cover states 'for new customers with any order from this catalogue'. She confirmed that ANY order would qualify, regardless of value. I think they just want to build their customer base by running these promotions. She also told me that they always have good 'freebies' and suggested I ask what's available when placing a repeat order.
I suggest anyone who has been told they need to place an order for £30+ calls back and tries again, or asks to speak to a supervisor regarding their misleading literature. Incidentally, you need to spend over £30 to qualify for FREE delivery, so maybe that's where the confusion lies?
I asked for the executive chair for £9.99, but as previous poster noted, the 4000 available have all gone. Not surprising, at this bargain price.
I then ordered a pack of 10 Bic crystal pens for 99p (code Y23-601122). Before I even had chance to mention the DVD player the operator added it to my order.
So, for a bit more than £4 my brother gets 10 ballpoints and a new DVD player. (99p + VAT and £2.90 postage).
Should be delivered to him tomorrow. RESULT!! :j
NB For anyone who has the nerve, you could order things as cheap as 15p. Take a look at their website. I just didn't have the nerve!0 -
Yes, that's the one featured, though i have just been told I may be supplied with a different model, of equal OR BETTER quality as stocks are running low on this model!
