well i can only back horses to win, where is the each way or places buttons gone, HELP!

There is a "National Quick Bet" option in the blue toolbar at the top where you can do the places or each way. But once I've done my selections, it asks me to log in, and when I click on the "place bets now" button it just hangs   Anyone any idea what to do?

I've just done this and it asked me to verify my age. Tried to verify it with a visa debit card and it wouldn't take it. Called them and the guy said, a 16 year old can get a visa debit card so it wont accept it, the only way is to email the ID, which will take a day to confirm and accept. As I am at work tomorrow this isn't much good to me, so a complete waste of £25 and I don't think I can even bet until that has been verified, top one.

some people seem to have been verifying their accounts using credit cards - maybe ask if they could do that.

Well, I have placed my first ever bet :j (Always avoided the shops - have this image they are full of men in long flasher macs, with a big cigar hanging out of their mouth! :rotfl: ) Have placed 5x £5 bets, used my debit card but had to confirm age by using credit card  Anyway, hopefully all done correctly and via quidco (£50 had tracked by the time I had placed the bets and went back to the quidco screen - very quick). So I should get my £25 stake back, plus £50 cashback :T ..... money is coming to meeeeeee ..... :D

Quite often you can place the bets but can't withdraw anything until they have received ID. Worth ringing and asking again, or try placing the bets. As long as you are 18 or older and the card holder you have nothing to worry about. :)

On the left under the 'markets' tab, you will see it says Horse Racing, GB, Aintree etc, then under the !6:15 it says 16:15 to be placed. :)
I've clicked on that, and still when i put the bet on, it says "you are betting for *horse name* to win"

I'm sure I've read (on the thread) that you can bet your money anywhere not only on the National. If it doesn't confirm before the National then maybe you could still win.
I'm still waiting for confirmation as well.

I've clicked on the National from the home page. i can now choose Back (current odds) or Starting Price. Which should I do?

  • From quidco just a few minutes ago:

UPDATE!!!: Wow! This offer really exploded which means we’ve got good and bad news… The bad news is that demand was waaayyy higher than expected so we’ve blown the budget Betfair had (many many times over whoops!) and we need to lower the £50 cashback at 2400 tonight (April 4th). The good news is first of all that we all had a smoking offer to bring in the Grand National, but also that we still can offer £30 Quidco cashback for Betfair (until 1500 April 5 when it will drop) PLUS the random give-away of £400 has been doubled to £800 (£10 bonus for 80 lucky members).
So many glitches, so little time...
