It's been doing this to me too. You need at least a £2 stake per bet then it should let you do it.
Thanks. So no bets of under £2 at all on betfair.com then? Thats a shame.
No money has been debited since I deposited though, yet Quidco has tracked... any ideas?!?!:j Baby #1 due 25/02/11 :j0 -
Am lost. Placed several small bets of £2.50 each and in MY ACCOUNT it shows the bets as UNMATCHED but if I go onto the main betting screen and go into MY BETS it says I have no unmatched bets. They are showing as MATCHED.
What is right. Dont want to find out after the race that they are not placed.
Matched bets are placed bets.I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something0 -
I can't do this as my husband has a betfair account and uses our shared Paypal account to deposit!
I just tried to deposit £25 and it refunded me straight away - im not amused....but hey, maybe someone is trying to tell me something!0 -

this is how you place less than £2
Select a horse > change odds to 1000 put stake as £2 then place
Then go to my bets change stake to £3 (if you want a £1 bet) then place
Then go to my bets cancel the £2 bet then you will be left with a £1 bet then change the odds to ones that are availableI have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something0 -
Another Question:
As I signed up via Quidco and not using Martin's code, will I still get the free £25 back after the national if a place a bet of the same value???0 -

I understand that. My problem is in CURRENT BETS in MY ACCOUNT section says they are UNMATCHED but in the main betting screen that shows the odds, on the right hand side there is a tab saying MY BETS and in here it shows they are MATCHED. Which am I to believe.
I think they are matched as there is nowhere that I can change the odds etc but am weiry as I am Virgin betting girl0 -
Is it partially matched
When you look at the market does it show how much you will win if that horse wins in green and all other horses showing -25?I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something0 -
I have gone on to betfair and selected 16:15 To Be Placed. Selected by horse but under its name it comes up with "You have selected "horse" to win."
Is this to win or placed? Confused :mad:Awaiting first win!!0 -

It can be done, I've just put 50p win and place on my mum's selection.
Not ideal for beginners though!
Say your horse is available to back at 10, ask for £2 at a much bigger price (say 50). Your bet will be unmatched.
Increase your stake to £2.50 and you have two unmatched bets, for £2 and 50p.
Reduce the odds on the 50p bet to 10 and it will be matched. Cancel the £2 bet and you've got 50p on! :cool:0
