Why don't you use System Restore? This is the easiest way to return your computer to the state it was in before infection.

Try System Restore first. It really should solve all your problems.

A virus/spyware etc can be in the system restore folder and all you do is reinstall it.
Switch system restore off before running a spyware scan if you think your machine is infected .
Run free verison of superAntispyware or PC tools have a new free for life spyware tool.

You will not damage the computer itself but may damage your software and data if you have trojans virus spyware etc .
A start from scratch format and clean install of your OS and all drivers will rectify the problem . You will then need to reinstall all your programs and check beforehand they are virus/spyware free likewise all your backed up saved data email address favs pictures and music .

Personally, I would install this FREEWARE. It is far the best anti malware software.http://www.comodo.com/boclean/boclean.html

When you have sorted out your computer, install an imaging software, such as TrueImage, and you will not worry about malware again.
