Argos "Delivery"

When ordering from Argos, they use differentmethods of delivery.

Heavy items such as washers, large cupboards, freezers, beds etc come via the 2-man delivery system operated by Argos itself. Small items up to small cupboards etc come via a 3rd party courier company.

We have had a couple of large items (sideboards) from Argos in the last year, both times the items have been delivered on the agreed date and they normally give you am or pm. But i suppose every depot is different and I live in an area served by a good one.

I have had really bad experiances with Argos first one being i was pregnant with my second son and it was coming up to Christmas so i ordered the chrismas presents online.
The order did arrive ontime the problem was the delivery driver insisted that he was not allowed to enter the property due to problems they have had with people reporting them saying they have done all sorts when in the house.
This would have been fine except i was heavily pregnant, on my own and some of the items were things like a TV for the kids and other either really heavy or bulky items.
In the end i had to nip to dext door leaving the stuff on the path way and ask if my neighbour could put them in the hallway.

I also order a bed for my eldest one of those metal ones with a desk and chair underneath. After a couple of weeks of hearing nothing i was told that it was out of stock and would have to wait a few more weeks as they aere due in soon.
All in all it took 16 weeks from date of order until date of arrival without as much as an apology.
