Onestop/ esave thread closed below closed - why??
A little concerned as to why above thread was closed. No reason to doubt that the original post was sincere, although not correct. Received genuine responses which cleared the matter up and raised some genuine concerns.
Perhaps a question mark as opposed to an exclamation mark in the title would have been appropriate!?!? lol
I am not suggesting cw osps e2save are in liqidation so i am going to continue the thread here.
CW is a FTSE 250 company with a share price that has not done badly in the present market conditions. Analysts are mostly bullish with regrd to the company. Not so sure if they have taken into consideration the general problems with regrd to cashback problems which can be found all too easily on this site. I would not buy shares in this company for this reason.
Red herring aside, I have a cash back deal with CW , virgin sim pack started 3 months ago, 4th month is cashback date and it seems that i should be ok judging by other threads. However this was a no lose deal for me as i use more than £15 pm on payg. Cashback, plus quidco are a great bonus not a desperately needed cash injection required to put food on the table.
Yes go for cash back with CW but just don't over expose yourself.Cnsider the tactics employed buy OSPS etc to avoid paying cashback. Is it worth the hassle bearing in mind the very reasonable no nonsense deals you can get elsewhere. Also consider the expense of special delivery/consequential loss postage that seems to be a requirement now and the stress/hassle and initial expense of having to take them to court if they try it on with you.

That's all a separate issue. And cpw's share price has done rather badly in fact during the last couple of months.0

I was was with CNM, they went bust as you know, if somebody had pointed out pros and cons and possibility of company going bust i would not have dealt with them. I would not have considered any financial issues relating to the company as a whole as being seperate from the cash back tricks that most of the threads are dealing with. Any advice posted on cashback threads relating to CNM,and numerous other companies, became useless when the company went bust.
My honest concern is that CPW might try to seperate/distance themselves from osps/e2save, let them go under and wipe their hands of cash back due. I am not a lawyer, this might not be possible/legal, but ,bearing in mind the recent increased reluctance to pay cash back, I would not put it past them.0 -
The footer of all dealings with e2save reads:For the purposes of this E-Mail "the Company" means The Carphone Warehouse Group PLC and/or any of its subsidiaries, which include The Carphone Warehouse Limited.
"e2save" is a trading name of The Carphone Warehouse Limited a company incorporated and registered in England and Wales with registered office at 1 Portal Way London W3 6RS, registered number 02142673 and VAT number 744032068.
This company is over 20 years old and of good financial standing, unlike the sheisters who've gone bust of late.0 -
It is in good financial standing at the moment, but what if the networks pulled out as they did not want to be fined by Ofcom due to the amount of miss-selling that goes on by this company.
Their misleading offers will have to go and therefore a big drop in sales.
The Networks are also selling a lot more direct and want to increase their market share.
Dropping CPW would have the desired affect.0 -
Sure, and I might get hit by a bus tomorrow, but I don't stay awake at night worrying about it.0

Me neither. Another month another deal. I've always been fully aware of all the various risks with all of these companies and made my choices accordingly. Obviously many others weren't and didn't.0
