I'm seeing similar to what you are. Sellers aren't selling and buyers aren't their. Haven't seen any sellers giving up yet. But their not dropping prices either.
 Hi there
Churchdown, near Innsworth/Staverton. Sought after area in the Forest, you having a laugh?? Only joking. I've only been to the forest a couple of times and what I have seen of it I like.. plus it seems to miss the floods too which is a bonus. Only joking. I'm sure one of the lads from work comes from your neck of the woods. I dunno, I am renting and will hold out for lower prices, but its sooo demoralising.0

Ah right. We didn't quite avoid the floods. There is a culvert running through the town. Completely blocked (council didn't think it is their responsibility) and it flooded the town. Our shop got flooded through.
It wasn't as bad as it could have been, at least we had tap water!!
I quite fancy Churchdown, I am quite a plane fanatic and think I would enjoy it there (I've flown from Staverton a couple of times and it's great), although I could understand if you didn't like planes and thus didn't like it there. It will never happen though, my girlfriends dad lives at churchdown and she really doesn't like him!!
Do you want to stay in CHurchdown? Abbeymead isn't all bad. My friends parents have a very nice 4 bed detached up there0

Newent isn't mainstream Forest of Dean, it's out in English countryside.
Yes, despite being thought of as the !!!! end of Stroud about 20 years ago, Stonehouse underwent a "up and coming area" thing over the last few years. Certainly, when I considered the plus and minus factors I realised that having a train station, motorway junction, countryside, shops, pub within walking distance meant that it wasn't a dump after all. LOL.Stonehouse sounds similarly priced to Churchdown, as does Newent.
I considered Churchdown when I was looking 2 years ago. Some of it is very ncie, but there are also quite large areas on the Innsworth side that aren't quite the village most people think of.
Anyway, yes prices do seem similar.Happy chappy0
