Good stuff. It's a shame Nero can be so temperamental at times.0

Thanks orainsear and T4i,that has worked despite me being useless with zip files,I think I fluked it rather than really knowing what I was doing. My cd drives are now showing and working,But only as playing devices.I tried burnin a cd earlier but it stayed blank.Nero said burn process completed but I Have a blank disc still. I was expecting it though, the lack of orange burning light and accompanying sound gave it away. Any ideas what' wrong now please??0

Make sure you didnt do a Simualtion or determine max speed. Both those options are under the 'Burn' tab, make sure the Write tick box is checked.0

T4i,,checked as you said and the write box is ticked, none of he others are.Any more suggestions please?0

Can you give some details as to which version of Nero you now have installed and the make and model of your burning drive.
Also, simply using windows explorer can you try and create a folder on a cdrw (with it in the burning drive) and then drag and drop a file from your hard drive to this folder. If this doesn't work you are most likely missing some packet burning software - InCD is the one that comes with Nero.
To be honest I'd be tempted to completely uninstall Nero and reinstall.0 -
Have a quick look at my last post - I was editing it while you replied!
Also that test will only work with a cd-rw0 -
thanks orainsear, I think will try that,(uninstall/reinstall nero) again..I had problems before in that it wouldn't uninstall though.I did a google search earlier and the results suggested uninstall/reinstall the cd drive itself but this didn't work.Off to try your suggestion again now..0

thanks again orainsear,I experienced the same problems again trying to uninstall so I wrote down all the messages it threw at me,came back here to type them in for you. Then I saw your most recent reply and the link you provided,I followed that and now nero has gone which should allow new clean installation.Thank you very much for your help..0
