Linksys pap2 voip adapter - sipgate setup?

I am trying to setup my Linksys pap2 phone adapter using the sipgate voip services. I am having difficulty on working out what settings to use to configure for sipgate. Sipgate provided me with the following configuration

SIP port : 5060
Registrar : sip.Internetcalls.com
Proxy server : sip.Internetcalls.com
Outbound proxy server : leave empty
Account name : your Internetcalls username
Password : your Internetcalls password
Display name/number : your Internetcalls username or voipnumber
Stunserver (option) : stun.Internetcalls.com

I cannot work out which settings need to be changed on the Linksys control panel - shown below. Please could someone help?

The settings you have posted are NOT Sipgate !!

This is from the Sipgate site
How do I configure a Linksys PAP2 for sipgate?

    Firmware 2.0.10(LSc)

Log into the device, as it says from the accompanying documantation, as the admin and change tabs to "Basic View".

Under the entry "Line 1" please input the following information:

    Line Enable "YES"

    SIP Port: 5060

    Proxy: sipgate.co.uk
    Make Call Without Reg "NO"
    Make Call Without Reg "NO"

    Register "YES"
    Register Expires: 3600

    Display Name: Your Name
    Password: Your SIP-Password
    Auth ID: Your SIP-ID
    User ID: Your SIP-ID
    Use Auth ID: "YES"

Please leave the rest of the configurations as the presets from the factory.

Please understand that we can't offer much support beyond these settings for the Linksys PAP2

    thanks
The sipgate line now seems to be working, I get the dialing tone although I get the message too "top up the account".
I tried phoning my assigned sipgate local number through my mobile, but it's just dead! So do I have to top up the account to receive incoming calls?

If you ARE really using Sipgate your first post shows different, if Sipgate then dialling 10000 should get you the test message.

You need no credit for Sipgate incoming calls.

    Have you setup stun setting,
admin, advanced, sip, down the bottom put in the stun server, enable stun, enable stun test.

sorry for the mix up of the first post, it was another providers set up on line 2.
I have now enabled the two stun options. I can now ring the sipgate number and I get a ringing tone and a connection if I pick up. The only problem now is the actual phone does not ring. Any ideas please?

Make sure you have not accidently turned the phone ringer off !

You need to get an adapter that plugs into the Pap and has a BT connection on the other end, BUT it must be the version that has a ringing capacitor fitted.

    Do a Google for

    rj11 bt ring capacitor

    Here is one supplier
    http://linitx.com/viewproduct.php?prodid=10679
    (price seems quite good)

Lots of other suppliers watch the postage prices though, broadbandbuyer quotes 80p but post is nearly £3 !!

You will need one for each line.

As per the post above, you will need the adapter.

I use a PAP2 box along with a set of old DECT phones, master plugged into PAP box and slaves just into power supply.

Works just like any normal DECT phone should.

    New problem now!
    The adapter has stopped working!
I purchased the adapter from an ebay seller. I was unaware that unlocked adapters were dodgy and can be disabled at any time. I cannot understand why Ebay allows the sale of these units if they are not legal.
I now have to purchase another adapter, so is there something similar to the linksys pap2 which will work with any voip provider?

Please be more explicit "The adapter has stopped working!" not very helpful for diagnosis !

I bought 2 from ebay seller in HK and have no problems.

The adapter worked ok for a day. Then the power led then started flashing red and also the two line leds flashing blue. I made some queries and it seems that the adapter has been "bricked" which basically means that the device connected with the vonage servers and was then disabled.
