putting this here as ive had no response from other area.
whats the point of even trying to get a job when csa will take £70 per week from any wages that are paid when the jobs i get are an average pay of £220 to take home ? by taking this amount (yes there are arrears - £2770) , i cant afford to work, ex doesnt work so wont even get anything but the £10, talk about a poverty trap.
hey 'every child matters' ? whats that all about as i have 2 children with my now wife, csa will take half the child benefit and child tax credit from them also,
ex wife is bitter and twisted but i will not elaborate on her problems, i see my children whom i love very very very much they are my world from my first marriage i see them about once a month and give them everything i can (which doesn't amount to much) due to circumstances said, but at least they know i love them.
csa dont make me laugh, they have caused more problems than solutions.
oh p.s. before you ask about arrears, well you know how good the csa are with there maths, and how devious ex;s are denying they've had any other moneys (i wont say anymore on that) twisted though she maybe i dont want her in trouble. just for my kids sake, so tell me is it worth working a full week for £150, when rent alone is £90, what would you do, i know im waffling but this is all wrong.
i also have debts but im forced into these further as unable to work catch 22.
PLEASE TELL ME WHAT DO I DO ?. oh ive cut my gas and electric ha, i had to have meters installed, not the best move but couldnt afford to pay bills so stuck with meters, i shop at netto, my phone is cut off. what can i do, forced out of work by one dept of DWP and hounded by another to work, ARGHHHHHHHH.

i love my kids thats all and its there grand parents names, both of them if you read0

He has two with wife one and two with wife two...that's what I read anywway....
My own experience (as a single mum who's partner left without any intention of paying towards the support of his children) was that it was worth going out to work even though in the beginning I was no better off financially. Work is about so much more than money it's about providing a good example to the children that you get a life from working and you can get what you want if you are prepared to put some effort in.0 -
Wish the CSA has pursued my own Dad - instead he left my Mum to bring me up from the age of 2 without contributing so much as a £1 to my wellbeing.Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0

Have you checked out what you would really gain by working? there are working & child tax to be claimed as well as wages. Even after CSA deductions you would be better off.
There is a calculator on here & another on the DWP site. Check it out at the library for free as you probably cant afford your own PC.
Why dont you see if you can have your !st 2 children to live with you, you would gain the extra £70:rolleyes:Tallyhoh! Stopped Smoking October 2000. Saved £29382.50 so far!0 -

Have to say that you seem a little bitter yourself.
I was a single parent about 10 years ago but always worked - got bu**er all from my child's father.
And, tbh I think I was better of then than I am now!:p
Paid for child care so the majority of my earnings (about £100 per week - child care was £80) were disregarded and I received full amount of what was then called "family tax credit". which was about £70-80/week as i recall. As this was not included in means tested benefit calculations I also received 90% housing benefit and 90% council tax.
So i pretty much "broke even" and received the same amount by way of benefits as I would have received if I had stayed on income support.
Are you sure that you have fully explored all the benefits you would be entitled to? Don't know the link, but "entitledto.com" should be able to help.0 -
you helped create those kids mate.....you pay for them!! :mad:0
