Hi,

Has anyone bought anything from Amazon in the last week or two, ive had a refund from them which has been subsequently reveresed out. Called them and they said they have been having problems and both Visa and Mastercard were aware of the problems but the bank only seemed to know that some of their transactions went thru with a different company name.....

I haven't had this problem, as I am refusing to buy from them until they sort out the gift vouchers owed from usage of my Amazon Mastercard. For weeks they have been telling me they have problems and delays in that department. Sounds like they are having lots of problems at the moment then.

Hi.
I had 4 transactions go out of my cc account, but they have all been refunded.

Also the vouchers have changed. they now show up when you go through checkout and no longer sent as a code via email (had a very long telephone conversation with them followed by 2 emails to them)

I had the same problem but upon going though checkout you can untick the box if you don't want to use the vouchers for that transaction, but if you leave it ticked then it comes off the total.

Can i ask how long they took to be refunded? After speaking to c/s for the second time today they said they would have to do a manual check of the transactions and this would take 2-3 days, im sure their c/s used to be much better a few years back!!

I'm pretty sure they took 3 working days, but the refund dates are the same date that they went out on.

Thanks, the only reason i asked is that my bill date is in a couple of days, would rather not have to pay for it first....

My bill date was between the transactions and the refunds... but they are already showing as refunded. So that shows up before the payment date anyway.

I must also say that the Amazon credit card is pretty shabby in terms of the 'Free' voucher. I have been waiting for mine for ages and after several phone calls and unreplied emails i am still waiting for the voucher. I checked my account and couldn't get them through checkout either so boo to them i say!!!! Viva la France.........think the sugar rush is kicking in.

I know what you mean... I was really angry at the time too!!

To be honest I expected a better service than that from them too.

Well we learn by our mistakes eh?

Everyone i speaks to assumes that Amazon is always really good service but i have been totally put off by them to be honest. I phone up one department and they just keep putting you through to other offices etc.

I feel like contacting BBC Watchdog!!!!!
