internet provider v21 - appualing service

I was a customer of v21.co.uk for 4 years, after giving them notice in writing and by fax, going on for 4 months now, they are still taking funds out of my account. DESIPTE recieving a fone call from them assureing me no further payments would come out of my account and been told that the account is closed. still fund were been taken out of my account.
i have been told the account is closed, i cannot take there word for it.
called them to speak to customer service and accounts manager, they are always busy on fone calls.
so i dont think i would ever sign up with v21 again .
any advise from MSE please. ty

I would right to them and send by recorded delivery and ask for confirmation back that the account has been closed any money taken out that shouldn't have been will be credited. I'd mention in the letter that you are now writing to OfCOM but you don't actually have to at first as this may just be enough to scare them (sending it recorded delivery could give them the impression you're are deadly serious) but if you still don't seem to get anywhere then I would actually involve OfCOM.0

ty, i contacted them again and they told me they had some problems with there billing systme and that this months payment been refunded and the account is closed, this is what was told last time about account being closed, i keep and eye on them, but i wud never sign up with them ever a again. lastly thanks for yr advice.0

You could contact your bank and tell them to stop v21 taking money from your account.0
