I just came back from my trip to the hoxton yesterday! It was a fab hotel. Ive never been before so wasnt sure what to expect.. The free bottled water, milk, soap and light breakfast must have totted up to over £10! We only stayed overnight as I didnt expect to get a room but we still managed to fit in HMS belfast and were duped into going into the london bridge experience.. It wasnt what we thought it was and it did take up alot of our time. We used our wetherspoons vouchers to get a cheap lunch and used the 2 for 1 vouchers for the attractions. The queues were very large though!! All in all im so delighted we went!! Thank you MSE!A dAy WiThOuT wInE iS lIkE a DaY wItHoUt SuNsHiNe0

OK so I missed this offer this time but can I ask a few ? to prepare me for the next offer.
As a 2 adult 2 children for this trip would we need to book 2 rooms as I can't see a family room option.
Would they be next to one another or do you need to specify that when booking.
I there a car park at the hotel.
Thanks for any info. I don't want to miss out next time if I can help it.0 -
I'd have thrown some money your way had it been for the 7th and money counted as anything considered. I'm struggling to find somewhere reasonably priced to crash after the foos gig.
So all I can offer you from this slightly pointless post is a bit of bumpage.
Hi - we've bagged a room in London for 7th June - Etap Hotel by London City Airport (Docklands are I think!)..anyway, close to Tubes etc. £53 all in for 3 people and breakfast! Try them!! :cheesy:Any fool can pay full price!!0 -

None too shabby
I dropped £40 on what turned out to be a 2nd Pricelined Holiday Inn Express room shortly after posting as I thought it would be far less stressful to get it sorted rather than spending hours of my time looking for somewhere. Not too bad for a room their website is currently quoting £108 for.
You are right about the airport and hotel being in the Docklands area although tfl.gov.uk reckon its a 15 minute or so walk away from the Pontoon Dock DLR.
If the police crowd control from Muse last summer is anything to go by, you could well be looking at upwards of an hour from leaving the stadium to getting on a train, before about an hour or so on the tube assuming everything is running as it should. The chances of making the last DLR train heading for King George V at 01:05 could well be slim. We stayed at a Travelodge out there after the gig and had to get a taxi from Canning Town instead of making the easyish walk from Pontoon, so get the number of a local cab company when you check-in and save yourself the hassle of walking around Canning Town after dark looking for one.0 -

Thanks for your info - we're not at the gig - we're at Hyde Park at the Red Bull Flug Tag event, but thanks again for the heads up about the travel etc.Any fool can pay full price!!0 -

You'll have far fewer problems getting back then I'd imagine. As long as you make it as far as Pontoon Docks you'll be fine to walk the rest of the way0 -
