The reason I didn't see that is that it has been edited since it's original date of the 31st March.

Dear "My Hox" Subscriber,
The 11th April at 12pm ( UK Time) marks the official start of our next £1 sale.
Once again we will have 1,000 bedrooms up for grabs on our website: 500 at £1 and 500 at £29, for dates between the 1st May – 31st July 2008.
During the last sale in January, we sold all 1,000 rooms within 29 minutes and had over 300,000 people trying to book so you'll need to be quick... If you don’t manage to get a room at either £1 or £29, there are some other great deals available including:
Ø £79 for rooms over the May and August Bank Holidays
Ø Rooms in August available from just £30
Ø Friday & Saturdays in September – only £79
Remember, there are limited quantities of rooms at the above rates so book early to take advantage…
To make the sale as fair as possible you are only allowed to book one room, for one night at a £1; if we find anyone misbehaving they will lose all their bookings – sorry, those are the rules.
To help make the process easier and to try and reduce confusion we have provided a clear step-by-step guide of how to book. Study hard as the quicker you are the luckier you will be.
Good luck!
David Taylor

We've been twice, each time to a twin room. When you are first booking there wil be a section on the form for comments/requests - just put a sentence in there requesting a twin room - or else you can ph them or email them afterwards and request it then. That's always worked for me.

Can anybody help me please, I was lucky enough to get this deal last time but my partner has left me and now i wont be going to London. I know they stated no refunds on the offer but has anybody else had to change or cancel their booking. My dates were for the end of April.
Thanks0 -

I managed to get a £1 room but want to give it to a close friend and his wife. I spoke to the Hoxton twice and both times they said its ok but their terms and conditions say no. my friend called me tonight and is a little worried they will be turned away. In some hotels they ask for ID and credit card as deposit. Other than giving him my CC, which is not a problem, does anyone know if there will be a problem. I can ring them again but dont want to cause my mate any probs.

Snugglemunchkin - suggest you contact them and advise of the situation. They MAY let you move the booking but if you cancel you won't get a refund. If they do move it they may want to charge you the difference between what you paid and what that room is currently selling for. None of your friends or relatives want to take it off your hands? You have paid up front for the room and you don't have to leave a card imprint when you check in if you don't want so I think you could let someone else use the booking.
Tootsie215 - have stayed there a few times (in rooms varying from £1 a night to £99 a night!) and they ask if you want to leave a card at reception for anything you spend over your stay but they don't check your original booking card. Your friends can plead ignorance and say you booked the room for them as they don't have a card if push comes to shove.0 -
